Omar-Farooq playing communal politics
4/3/2014 1:15:27 AM
Early Rimes Report
Jammu
The father son duo of Omar Abdullah and Farooq Abdullah are playing communal politics by deliberately raking up Gujarat riots to create fear factor among Muslim voters to defeat PDP rather than the BJP.
Omar at a rally in Poonch had quoted out of the context an interview of the Modi where he had though regretted about the deaths of innocent people in Gujarat including Muslims, but Omar deliberately quoted just one para of interview where he had said that even if a puppy dies under a car he like anyone else would feel sad about it.
But Omar deliberately tried to give communal colour to the statement in the Muslim majority Poonch district saying that Modi treats Muslims like canines .
At almost the same time, his father Farooq Abdullah speaking at Anantnag said Modi has a hidden dagger. Farooq by using the term dagger had implied that Modi could unleash genocide against Muslims.
It was however amusing to note that the same father-son duo had not spoken a word about Muzaffarnagar riots where many Muslims were killed , yet Mulayam Singh continued to be secular.
The real reason of them raking up this is that they know that the voters are dissilussioned with the National Conference. They have definite intelligence inputs that their vote share is shifting to PDP, which is the real reason of their worry.
It is because of this game plan that they are deliberately equating PDP with the BJP and by presenting BJP’s prime ministerial candidate as communal figure and demonizing him they are trying to push the voters away from the PDP by playing communal politics.
