| Pushpinder, Sheetal quit NSF; allege organization of being tout of JU | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 2: Alleging National Secular Forum (NSF) of becoming tout of the Jammu University administration, its Provincial General Secretary Pushpinder Singh and City Vice President Sheetal Aryan today resigned from the basic membership of the Forum saying that some ex-student leaders are working against the students and scholars' community for their vested interest. While addressing a meeting of Students Scholar Joint Action Committee (SSJAC) along with various members of the students and social organization namely National Secular Forum (NSF), National Social Service (NSS), Pushpinder Singh alleged that NSF was formed as a pro student organization whose purpose was to fight for the basic rights of students and scholars in particular and whole of the society in general but some leaders used the platform of the Forum for their vested interest. "For the last sometime NSF organization has become touts of the administration and some ex-student leaders and is working against the students and scholars community which is totally unacceptable and that is why we are resigning from our respective posts and primary membership," he alleged. Meanwhile, they unanimously decided to fight collectively for the cause of scholars who are suffering from the callous attitude of administration in general and their touts in particular. The members of the NSS who were present also supported the above mentioned view points of the meeting. |
