BJP will win both Lok Sabha seats in Jammu: Khajuria
4/2/2014 11:22:42 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 2: Ridiculing the claim of the Congress and the NC that their common candidates in Jammu province will win both the Lok Sabha seats from Jammu province, Leader of BJP Legislature Party in the Assembly and former State BJP President Ashok Khajuria today said that his party would win both the Lok Sabha seats in Jammu province and the lone Ladakh Lok Sabha seat hands down. "The people of Jammu province and Ladakh region are determined to decimate the pro-separatist Congress and NC and contribute to BJP PM candidate Narendra Modi's 272+ Congress-free India mission. The BJP will also perform reasonable well in the Kashmir Valley where the people are making common cause with Narendra Modi. The people of Jammu province and Ladakh region are fed up with the anti-people, anti-democratic and corrupt NC-Congress government. They want a government at the centre that delivers and ensures the development of the state in general and empower the neglected regions of Jammu and Ladakh," Ashok Khajuria said, and added that the mortally afraid ruling coalition has unleashed a hate campaign against Narendra Modi to hoodwink and mislead the people of Jammu province, Kashmir Valley and Ladakh.
"The Congress and the NC cannot claim that they are secular and democratic as they have been muddying the Indian waters in Kashmir by perpetuating their regressive and pro-Pakistan ideology and terming as anti-Kashmir the Indian laws and the Indian constitutional institution," Khajuria said, adding that 'it is their communal and regressive ideology that has vitiated the whole atmosphere in Kashmir and created inter-regional bitterness and animosity on an unprecedented scale". "The refugees from Pakistan-occupied-Jammu & Kashmir, the refugees from West Pakistan, the refugees of 1965 and 1971 and the border migrants are all chaffing and seething with anger. The youth of Jammu province is also seething with anger as they have no place in the scheme of things of the ruling Congress and the NC. The people of Jammu province as a whole are extremely angry because all the successive Kashmiri-dominated and Valley-centric governments in the state have perpetrated injustices after injustices on them," Khajuria also said, and added that the Ghulam Nabi Azad-led coalition government did more harm to Jammu and the nation as compared to other parties.
To substantiate his point, Khajuria said that Azad tore into pieces the Wazir Commission report that had recommended three districts for Jammu and one for Kashmir and, instead, created four new districts in Kashmir. He also charged the Congress party with cheating the people of Jammu province. He said that the Congress in 2002 had promised regional development board for Jammu, but it did nothing to honour its commitment made in its election manifesto. Again, in 2008, the Congress manifesto promised regional council for Jammu, but it did not fulfill its solemn commitment, he further said.
The people of Jammu province will never forgive the Congress and the NC for the damage they have done to Jammu and the nation and will vote overwhelmingly for Narendra Modi in their own interest and in the larger national interest, Ashok Khajuria said.
"A vote for the BJP candidates from Jammu province will be a vote for Narendra Modi whom the world recognizes as an able leader and administrator and as a great visionary and statesman", he said, and added that the Congress will become a story of the past after the election results are announced on May 16. "Don't waste your vote by casting a vote in favour of the Congress which is a sinking ship," he urged the people, and reassured them that the Narendra Modi government at the centre would end their night of discontent and despair and empower them.
