Early Times Report Srinagar, Apr 2 : Issuing the election notification for Srinagar Parliamentary polls, the returning officer today stated that out of 1546 polling stations, 55 have been categorized as normal in state's summer capital. Returning officer Farooq Ahmad Shah stated that out of 1546 polling booths in Srinagar, 1021 are hypersensitive, and 470 are sensitive while as 55 are normal. He stated that the categorization is based on the security reasons. The details received by Kashmir News Service stated that there are 804 polling booths in Srinagar City, 540 are in Budgam , while as there are 202 polling stations in Ganderbal. The details informed further that the nomination papers can be filed from April 2 to April 2 and that the last date of withdrawal of candidature is April 12. There are 1,171,772 registered voters in Srinagar parliamentary seat and that polling will be held on April 30 between 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. |
