| PDP's rivals have gone into hiding after party's performance on Jammu-Poonch seat | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 14: The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has given sleepless nights to its rivals in the state, which was reflected by Chief Minister's desperation at Doda where he cried about PDP cutting NC-Congress votes. The Chief Minister must have understood that this is a democracy where anyone can contest elections and can seek votes. But his cries were an eye opener for the National Conference (NC) that PDP has emerged as a strong force in Jammu region where it has only two MLAs and when it comes to Kashmir valley, where it has 19 MLAs, PDP could win all three seats of the valley. The PDP has been working on ground since its foundation day and has only one agenda, to work for the betterment of people of the state who have been suffering for the fault and sins committed by the NC leaders since independence. Now, when PDP is becoming people's voice, the NC leaders are sensing their loss and it is expected that NC may be rooted out, not only in parliamentary elections but in the Assembly elections too, when people would be voting for good governance. But the semi-final is going on and it is the opportunity for parties as well as people to give votes to those people who have been working for the people. The PDP's role on Jammu-Poonch seat and now on Udhampur-Doda seat is quite appreciable and people are well aware of the fact that it was during the tenure of Mufti Muhammad Sayeed, when state witnessed a bit peace and violence level went down. During the Lok Sabha elections, PDP is seeking votes to change the future and destiny of the state which was gone bad to worst during NC rule. They are also pinning hope on BJP PM nominee, Narendra Modi to act like NDA PM, Atal Bihari Vajpayee. |
