| NC-Congress shivering amid imminent wave of change: Mufti | | NC's proclaimed Srinagar dominance result of 'Sponsored Election boycott' | | Javaid Naikoo Srinagar, Apr 14: Calling the alleged election boycott phenomena a brain child of National Conference (NC) to grab opportunity at an appropriate time, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) patron Mufti Muhammad Sayeed said that as in rest of the country, a wave of change was gaining momentum across the state and such an environment is likely to dislodge NC and congress camps too. During a road show in South Kashmir today in connection with his campaigning for PDP's South Kashmir Lok Sabha candidate Mehbooba Mufti, PDP patron and former chief Minister Mufti Muhammad Sayeed while addressing a gathering at Wachi village alleged that National conference leadership often claims Srinagar District as their strong hold as the result of alleged 'sponsored election boycott' which according him is sponsored by it for electoral gains . "National conference instigates violence and sponsors election boycott pehenomena just before elections as environment of fear always goes in their favour," said Mufti Muhammad Sayeed. He alleged that National conference this time too was looking to instigate violence at many places in Kashmir so that on the day of polling, they can succeed in keeping majority community indoors and claim win over seat by virtue of few votes which according to him they manage on deserted polling booths on the day of voting. Mufti Muhammad Sayeed said that when a wave of change is gaining momentum across the country and people are committed to cast their votes in favour of trustworthy parties and candidates, a similar kind of wave is also swinging across the state which according to him is picking momentum in Jammu, Chenab, Rajouri, Kashmir and Ladakh regions and time is not far when both National Conference and Congress will have to pack up their camps from the state as they have failed at all fronts. He said that some landmark decisions and developments which took place in the history of Jammu and kashmir like abolishing 'Task force Raj' opening of roads to connect mothers with their sons parted decades before due to violence, employing thousands of youth as Rehbar-i-Taleem and Angan wadi Workers, etc were possible only because of public support which PDP got in 2002. Alleging NC-Congress alliance of creating turbulent situations in Jammu and Kashmir, Mufti Muhammad Sayeed said that since 1987 whenever there was NC-Congress alliance ruling over Jammu and Kashmir, people of the state had to suffer . |
