| SIC directs for inspection of documents | | CDF details of 3 MLAs' | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 14: The State Information Commission (SIC) has directed the Block Development Officer (BDO) Satwari Jammu to allow inspection of documents and records in order to ensure that an applicant who sought details about the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) of three MLAs' under State RTI Act is provided the same . The applicant had sought other details from the BDO office as well. All the information sought was not provided earlier and the case finally landed in State Information Commission (SIC) . According to the case details, one R.D. Barna R/o Village Parladpur, Tehsil & District Jammu moved an application dated 10-12-2013 under J&K Right to Information Act, 2009 before the PIO / Block Development Officer, Satwari where-under he sought details of the CDF utilized by the three MLAs including Sukhnanadan, Ajay Sadhotra, Indu Pawar of Marh Constituency in Panchayat Mandal, Parladhpur, Sohanjana, Makwal, Haripur & Sum for the year 2011-2013. The information seeker also wanted to know details of the work order and the names of the person on whose name work order was issued Panchayat wise; Details of the work done under MGNREGA in these six Panchayats; Total number of MGNREGA card issued in these six Panchayats; Name the authority who issued the MGNREGA card (job card); Criteria for issuing the job card; Total number of written applications received from these MGNREGA workers during 2011-2013 till December ; Under Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan, total funds utilized in these six panchayats; Details of the beneficiaries of this scheme; Details of the fund proposed for MGNREGA work for the year 2011-2012 and the amount utilized for the same panchayat wise, etc. Not satisfied with the order of the 1st appellate authority, the applicant preferred 2nd appeal dated 21-02-2014 before the State Information Commission (SIC). The SIC after taking cognizance of the facts and reply filed by the first appellant authority, ruled "Keeping in view the aforesaid facts and observations and request of the appellant, the PIO / Block Development Officer, Satwari is hereby directed to allow the appellant an opportunity to inspect the record in his office on 15th of April, 2014 at 11.00 a.m. sharp and also provide him photocopies of the relevant documents, if any, required by the information seeker and file compliance report to the Commission". |
