| 123rd Birth Anniversry of Dr BR Ambedkar celebrated | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 14 : Shakti Punj,NGO a social organization Hiranagar today celebrated birthday of B.R Ambedkar in its ofice with great fervor. Members of the organization presented garland and flowers on the photo of B.R Ambedkar. President Kuljeet Singh while highlighting his achievements said that he always stood by the poor and down trodden people and he was a real social worker. General Secretary Lukhinder Singh said that as a chairman of the Constitution Drafting committee his greatest gift to India was the worlds' biggest constitution which envisaged security to every citizen of India irrespective of caste , colour and creed. Baba Sahib Dr. B.R Ambedkar Welfare Society, Rajouri and Guru Ravi Dass Sabha of Rajouri City, Phalayana and Dhawan too celebrated 123th Birth Anniversry of Bharat Rattan Baba Sahib Dr. B.R Ambedkar in which prominent persons of all walks of life participated and paid floral tributes to champion of reservation. In this auspious occasion, S.P Langeh President of Baba Sahib Dr. B.R Welfare Society, Rajouri was the chief guest. While paying tribute to the Baba Sahib B.R Ambedkar a memorandum of demands was present before the community members highlighted the problem faced by the educated youth of the schedule caste community of Rajouri-Poonch due to inter-district recruitment in the State, which to be present to Hon'ble Chief Minister through SDM, Nowshera on fourth coming programme of Society on April 20, 2013.
Speaking on the occasion President of the Society Sh. S.P Langeh stress that remote and backward hilly district of Jammu division such as Poonch, Rajouri, Reasi, Doda, and Ramban have been worse affected by the draconian SRO of inter-district recruitment for Schedule Community as youths of hilly backward districts has been facing competition of State Cadre on district posts and district cadre posts are filled up by schedule caste candidates from Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts which are educationally and economically advance which mar the domiciles rights of local candidates of Rajouri-Poonch and other backward districts. Other who spokes of the occasion were Yash Paul (Lecturer Jammu), Govind Lal (President Guru Ravi Dass Sabha, Dhanwan), Yog Raj (President Guru Ravi Dass Sabha, Phalayana), Sushma Kumar. |
