Jammu , Apr 14: In order to sensitize various security agencies ahead of parliamentary polls under second phase in Jammu, Gharib Dass, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Udhampur-Reasi Range today chaired a high level meeting District Police Lines (DPL), Udhampur and reviewed security arrangements. According to police spokesperson, the officials from BSF, CRPF and District Police Udhampur including zonal/sector officers participated in this meeting and apprised the chairperson with the security arrangements. "Various aspects of pattern of deployment to provide security cover to the polling material, polling staff and voters in general were discussed with more emphasis upon area familiarization polling booths level and working out contingency plan to deal with unforeseen disruptive incidents, spokesperson said. He added, "Besides this, forces were asked to work in tandem with the polling staff, zonal magistrates and sector magistrates to ensure free and fair parliamentary election as per guidelines of the election commission of India." During the proceedings of meeting a power point presentation was also presented by Khalil Poswal, Addl SP, Udhampur giving details of deployment of security personnel booth wise and the mechanism of commission of various agencies. M K Sharma, Commandant and nodal officers of all central police, officers, adhoc commandants of BSF and CRPF, Sub-Divisional Police Officers and company commanders participated in this meeting . |
