| OTTWC, PTOA logger heads over issues of oil tank drivers | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 23: Taking strong exception of statement issued by one J & K Petrol Tank Owners Association (PTOA) against the Oil Tankers Transporters' Welfare Committee, (OTTWC)- J&K today termed it only biased and aimed to mint their own coin.
OTTWC Spokesperson said, "It was an act of some vested interests elements aimed to weaken the anti-corruption cause of their organization.
Statement said instead of standing with the innocent transporters, this so called association of Petrol Tank Owners is trying to shield the corrupt elements which would be opposed at any cost and to safeguard the interests of the poor driver-cleaners and transport owners, the statement said. It said that that transporter unions are not the monopoly of any Individual or groups but every stake holder is entitle to raise one's voice.
Pertinent to mention here that on Monday, a large number of transporters had held a strong protest against the gross malpractice there in IOC depot at Jammu against favouring of blue eyed transporters by one officer of the depot. Ranjit Singh, Convener of the organization said to make their claims the organization have unnecessarily issued press statements against the OTTWC.
The committee also warned of taking legal action against those trying to malign their image and making false propaganda. |
