| Blind murder mystery solved within 15 days, accused held from Mumbai | | | Early Times Report Rajouri, Apr 23: Within 15 days of blind murder, police have arrested the husband of the victim from Mumbai two days ago who went missing after the crime committing crime at his rented room in Kheora area in the vicinity of Rajouri city on April 9. Acting on specific information provided by the resident of Kheora police had searched the house of Zulfikar Bhatti, an owner of welding shop, on April 10 and had recovered the body of a woman identified as Tahira Parveen wife of Zulfikar Bhatti. After preliminary investigation and on the information provided by the neighbors police had registered a murder case under section 302 RPC against Zulfikar who had gone missing after the crime along with minor girl. Sources added that Tahira Begam daughter of Mohd Aslam resident of Kotdhara (Rajouri) was married to accused at Alvar in Rajasthan. "As Tahira had no child from her first marriage she adopted a girl child of her brother-in-law and brought her to Rajouri, police said. "The couple was not at good terms, quoting neighbourers," said police while adding, "on April 9 the accused first hit his wife at neck and later strangulated her before fleeing from the scene along with the girl. Immediately after the crime Rajouri police under the supervision of district SP and DSP headquarter swung into action and after collecting information from the relatives anf friends of the accused police traced him at Mumbai. Hamid Choudhry, DSP headquarters said that after initial investigations it was established that the accused that has four children from her first wife had some dispute with his second wife Tahira and allegedly killed her. |
