| Doda police works out burglary, recovers valuable worth Rs 4.5 lakh | | | Early Times Report Kishtwar, Apr 23 : Police today claimed to have solved a burglary case with the arrest one person besides recovering gold ornaments worth approximately Rs 4.5 lakh stolen from the house of elderly women in Thatri area of the district couple of weeks ago. According to police spokesperson, following specific input a police party of Police Station Thathri arrested one Vishal Khajuria alias Laku s/o Late Sudesh Khajuria of Barshalla Kishtwar. "On his disclosures, the police recovered gold ornaments weighing 160 grams (16 tolas) worth of Rs 4.5 lakh, spokesperson said. Sharing further details of case, police spokesperson said, "After commission of crime, the accused fled away to Jammu however police kept a close watch on accused and successfully manage to arrest him from Ploura, Jammu. During sustained interrogation he confessed to the crime. Presently the accused is on Police remand and being interrogated to ascertain if he is involved in any other theft. According to police case one Sarfraz Ahmed s/o Bahu-din Khan resident of Thathri, on 10/04/2014 lodged a complaint with police saying that some burglars broke into house of Hanifa Begum (Mother of the Complainant) and decamped with gold ornaments of 160 gm (16 tola). Taking cognizance police registered a case FIR No. 24/2014 u/s 457/380 RPC at Police Station Thathri and investigations were started. This recovery is made by a Police party headed by Ravi Singh Parihar SHO Police Station Thathri under the close supervision of Mohammad Sharief Chouhan SP Doda. |
