Srinagar, Apr 23 : More than 20 people, including about a dozen workers of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), were injured in different road accidents in the Kashmir valley, official sources sad here today. Official sources said a vehicle, carrying PDP, workers to an election rally to Kangan from Gund turned turtle resulting in injuries to about a dozen of them. The injured were rushed to local hospital from two of them identified as Farooq Ahmad and Nissar Ahmad Yatoo, local residents were referred to S K Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS).Sources said a vehicle skidded off the road at Bagna Salamabad in Uri resulting in injuries to 12 passengers. The injured were admitted to District Hospital, Baramulla. A bus hit and injured a pedestrain Abdul Sattar Bhat at Kelam in south Kashmir while a truck hit and wounded a traffic police constable at Sanant Nagar bypass. Both the injured were admitted to different hospitals. |
