| Bridge on Shaap Nalla demanded | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, May 15: Residents INDO-PAK International Border Area of Tehsil Hiranagar demanded the construction of a bridge over "Shaap Nalla" to get a link with entire area of the tehsil and nearby Punjab state and also alleged the administration for embezzlement of BADP funds. Residents Daulat Ram, Sat Paul, Rasal Chand, Rajinder Kumar also urged the state government to put an attention on the plights of the area due to which the people are still living in the primitive era. The utilization of the Border Area Development Programme (BADP) funds is not fair and in proper manner an investigation should be conducted whereabouts the use of funds. The construction of the Shaap Bridge is an old demand of the area because it the Nallah which directly in link with nearby state Punjab and through which the public movement can be made for so easy and another important advantage is security related. With the construction of bridge over the Shaap Nallah the infiltrations from the Pakistan can also be curbed. In this connection, the executing agency of the BADP's funds, PWD's AEE responded that the proposal for the construction of bridge and 1kilometerer road is already submitted to the higher authority for further sanctioning. And on getting sanction the work would be executed immediately. |
