Jammu, May 15: IIFT - International Institute of Fashion Technology (IIFT), which has become one of the famed fashion institute of Asia with over 70 centres spread across India and abroad is going to open its first centre in Jammu in state of Jammu and Kashmir. Giving details the Director of IIFT- Jammu Centre Ms Preeti Sultan said, "the aim of the centre is to give shape & hone the skills of people of Jammu who are looking forward to promote professionalism in vast spectrum of fashion and designing world." "With the opening of its centre at 19 A/D Gandhi Nagar, the centre will offer Diploma & Certificate courses in specified fields like Interior Design, Textile Design, Apparel Merchandising and Clothing Management," she said. "The centre is centrally located and aptly equipped with state of arts infrastructure and labs and experienced faculties, Ms Sultan said and informed that centre will be inaugurated on May 17 by special invitees Ms Rani Belowria active socialite alongwith MLC Dinesh Gupta, CCB Jammu. Giving further details, she said, "IIFT - International Institute of Fashion Technology (IIFT), was established in 1990, under the professional expertise of Ratnadeep Lal the leading fashion technologist and founder executive director of IIFT has turned a famed fashion Institute of Asia with more than 75,000 professional taking training so far from IIFT.' "The institute provides consultancy services for its students as well as for other entrepreneurs to establish a factory, an export house, a boutique or a fashion entering unit in areas specified and also provides guaranteed placement / scholarship to the dedicated students of IIFT, in every export and buying house in the country, she added. |
