| Army apprehends 2 PoK residents in Keri sector | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, May 21 : Alert troops of Sikh unit manning the Line of Control (LoC) in Keri sector of Rajouri district have apprehended two Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) residents who had entered the Indian territory in the evening on Tuesday. Both were reportedly taken the unit headquarters and were put to sustain questioning by the senior officers for their any association with anti-national element (or terrorist organizations). At the time of filing this report both the POK national was in the custody of army. While confirming the arrest of POK national by the army a senior police officer said that police has been informed by the concerned unit and soon they will get confirmation letter from the unit. Sources said that Mohd Shabir 50 years and Moulvi said 60 years soil inadvertently while grazing their live stock on the other side of the border. Both are being interrogated by the intelligence agencies and sources added, if found innocent , will be handed over to the Pakistan army at Chakan-da-Bagh , cross border point in Poonch district. Jammu based Defence PRO, Lt Col M Mehta has denied any such incident but said that he will confirm the incident from the concerned officials and if found correct will confirm the reports. |
