Jammu, May 21: Arakshan Virodhi Manch, Jammu today held a meeting under the leadership of Narian Singh President Amar Kshatri Rajput Sabha Jammu to discuss the effects of caste based reservation in detail. In the meeting, the Narian Singh asked the people of unreserved categories to extend full co-operation to the activities of AVMJ & IAR to ensure Equality, Justice and Liberty. Ram Pal Seth demanded in this address to abolish all types reservation and made provisions for the welfare of economically backward people irrespective of the caste, creed, religion and region. The right to contest elections be given to people living in reserved constituencies. Yash Pal Sanson, General Secretary while addressing the meeting said the Government need to work for needy and deserving people irrespective of their caste, religion and region. The outcome of the recently held parliamentary election reflected the mood of the country. The caste region & pseudo-secularism have been neglected and only the development is the watchword for the Country today. It was decided with one voice to hold Seminar on 'Reservation' in near future. Those who were present in the meeting included Yash Pal Sharma, KK Sharma, Vivek Kumar, Ashok Sharma, Suresh Kumar, Ram Pal Sharma, Sat Pal Sharma and MS Katoch. |
