| SSH turns into boxing rink, doctors engage in fists and blows | | |

JAMMU, May 26: The celebrated Super Specialty Hospital was reduced into a boxing rink today when two senior doctors came into fists and blows in full public view.
Dr Ryaz, Medical Superintendent of the Hospital and Dr Haroon Salaria, Neuro Surgeon grappled and slapped each other to the dismay of onlookers during the office hours.
The doctors slapped each other so hard that melee left both of them red faced , eye witnesses in the hospital said.
The wrestle mania between the doctors went on until a complaint was filed with Principal GMC &H and Associated Hospitals Dr. Ghanshyam. The principal's intervention pacified the matter, the report said.
Reports said that the Doctors in Super Specialty Hospital clashed over a trivial issue. The clash took place between the two when doctor Haroon reportedly objected to Medical Superintendent's order of dumping logistics in his room. The former reacted, and the verbal duel took the ugly turn.
Later, Dr Haroon, Head of the Department (HOD) of Neurology, lodged complaint with the Principal GMC&H demanding registration of the FIR against the Medical Superintendent. In his complaint, the complainant has alleged that he was on round in GMC&H when a nurse informed him that lock of his room was broken on the direction of the Medical Superintendent. When he came back he found that his instruments were thrown from the room and it was turned into a store room. When he objected to breaking the locks of the room without his consent before Medical Superintendent, he in turn assaulted him.
The Principal GMC&H though did not agree with the lodging of the FIR ,but assured him of apprising the Minister concerned for further action. |
