Students stage protest against VC, allege unholy nexus of politically influential touts

Jammu, May 28: Several student organizations of Jammu University today staged strong protest demonstration against the Vice Chancellor of Jammu University and alleged that an unholy nexus of some of the politically influential touts and some university officials is playing with the carrier of students and scholar community just for their vested interests.
Protesting students and scholars gathered in front of the office of Vice Chancellor, Prof Mohan Pal Sigh Ishar and registered their grievances before him which included barrier for admission of some of the scholars in various departments of JU, illegal appointment of some of the ex-student leaders and their kins in JU.
Agitating students further alleged that the masterminds running the unholy nexus in the JU never accept that any student who can raise voice against them can get admission in the campus following which they along with their touts in JU administration are putting undue barriers in the admissions of particular scholars.
Protesting students further appraised the VC of Jammu University that the scholars suspended their agitation for some time after the hallow promises on the part of administrative side which included VC, Special Secretary to VC, Registrar JU, Dean Students Welfare, Assistant Deans.
The protesting students and scholars now feeling duped by the JU administration as the all the higher ups in the system are involved in making hollow promise with the students.
"The Vice-Chancellor JU is playing in the hands of some of the masterminds of the unholy nexus who lured him (VC) to get further extension for the post of Vice Chancellor", said a protestor adding that they students community will never accept this nexus who is playing with the carriers of the students community.
One of the protesting scholars alleged that there is a student organization which is using blackmailing tactics to adjust their kins at various positions in Jammu University.
While, the founder member of this student organization managed to get adjust his 6 kins and friends at different positions in JU.
Those who participated in the protest included Neeraj Kundan, Kamal Msagotra, Nittin Bakshi, Arun Jamwal, Lovedeep Singh, Suresh Sharma and Pardyuman Singh.
