Adjusting the blue eyed
5/28/2014 11:36:18 PM

Arun Singh
JAMMU, May 28: Under a well planned strategy, the administration of Jammu University is likely to terminate Head of the Department of Dogri Department, with a motive to adjust blue eyed candidates in the department, interview for which are likely to be held in next 3-4 months.
Sources informed Early Times that three posts including one post of Professor and two posts of Assistant Professors were laying vacant in Dogri department and the process to fill the posts have already started, but the JU administration under instructions from a political group, has been trying hard to adjust some blue eyed candidates, instead of deserving ones.
"A particular political group, which is very active for sending press releases and lodging protests for gaining media coverage, which is in close liaison with some high officials of Jammu University had initially mounted pressure over HOD of Dogri department to adjust their blue eyed candidates, but when their plans were not executed they hatched another conspiracy", a sources said.
The sources further informed that to remove the incumbent Head of the Department from headship, initially the answer scripts of M.Phil papers of Dogri were allegedly stolen but later recovered in a very mysterious manner.
A scholar of Jammu University said, "As per inquiry conducted by the department, a clerk and a peon were indicted but the enquiry failed to pinpoint the working of another peon, who remained available in the department for the last many months, despite the open fact that he was not permanent employee of the department but is under the disposal of a particular faculty member of the said department, who is supposed to be first beneficiary of proposed sacking of HOD. Astonishingly, his involvement was not questioned by the enquiry committee".
Sources further disclosed that the Jammu University administration has decided to remove the HOD from the headship and has been mounting pressure for the last many days, as a new faculty member has been trying to take the position, who was very close to that particular political group and National Conference.
"The same faculty member, who is very close to a particular political group and National Conference, had already fixed a deal with political group, owing to which the same political group has been mounting pressure for the last many months, by sending press releases and organizing protests with the help of some paid outsiders", he said.
Sources further divulged that the Vice Chancellor of Jammu University, has so far been acting in a very much fair manner, but the particular political group has been pressurizing the Vice Chancellor to take a wrong step by removing HOD.
"This particular group has already hijacked the administration of Jammu University and their political master has already decided to bring another Vice Chancellor by prematurely removing the incumbent Vice Chancellor", sources said, adding that already the National Conference has lost ground across state and was also infuriated over the recently issued order by Jammu University administration, banning entry of all those students, who have any police case pending before him.
When contacted the President of Jammu University Teachers' Association (JUTA) Prof Dalip Singh strongly reacted over the JU administration's attitude in this case and alleged that JU authority is doing all this only to appease to particular organization.
"JU authority is manipulating this case according to the will of a particular organization which is in affiliation with a political party for their vested interest," Prof Dalip Singh said further adding that FIR has been lodged and probe is on, if administration removes HoD in between, JUTA will take strong exception to it.
