JSM urges I&B Minister to revoke closure order of Yuva Vani

Jammu, May 28: Jammu State Morcha (JSM) appealed Union Minister of State holding independent charge of Information and Broadcasting Parkash Javadekar to withdraw the order issued by the Information and Broadcasting Ministry under the outgoing regime to close down the Yuva Vani Service operating under Jammu Radio Station.In the letter to concerned ministry, it has been explained that Yuva Vani channel has done a marvelous job from the date of its inception in 1974 by holding programs concerning youth of Jammu region which include the issues confronting the youth, providing opportunity to youth to demonstrate their talent and exploring their capabilities.
The Channel has become the voice of the youth. The youth across the other side of the border also contributed in the channel as such the channel was helpful in creating better understanding among the youth on the both sides of the border. Many artists presently working in the primary channel and others who have earned reputation not only the state but in rest of the country, initially started their performance in Yuva Vani service.
