| CEO Doda's transfer hailed | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 28: The people of Doda have hailed the transfer of chief education officer (CEO) Doda, Muhammad Ashraf from the district. These people, mostly academicians have said that the CEO disturbed the education system in the area and corrupt practices were increasing every day. "The CEO was taking money from every teacher to transfer them on their favourite places in return of money. He was involved in many corrupt practices and the most recent one was that he was seeking money for giving good marks during interview for the post of teacher," said Ghulam Hassan, principal Royal Academy, Doda. Hassan said that since Ashraf was posted as CEO Doda, he became millionaire and reports are that he has bought huge land in Jammu after becoming CEO Doda. "We are very happy that Ashraf has been removed and transferred to some other place. We welcome this decision of the government and now urge the education minister to send a CEO having no corrupt background," he added. Hassan said that during Ashraf's tenure, education standard in district has deteriorated and there is an urgent need that a person is posted on the seat who has clean background so that he could focus on uplifting the standard. There were allegations against the CEO as well that few blue-eyed boys were roaming around him who were taking decision as which teacher and master need to be transferred. |
