| PDD Casual Labourers stage protest, highlight demands | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 28: All J&K PDD Casual Labourer Union today staged a protest in support of their long pending demands outside the Press Club Jammu here today.
Led by Shesh Kumar (Jammu Province president) the protestors highlighted their demands including non release of their payments from the PDD Deptt.
They were working in department without pay from long period since they joined the duties in respective fields.
Protestors said that delegations of union have met many times with the concern Officer/authority to get their issues resolved but it is irony most of time they have received only assurances.
They urged the concerned administration for release of wages immediately as committed by the Chief Minister as well as power minister J&l< Govt some two & half year back.
They also demanded that the records of the need based workers should be sent to DCP (J&K) Power, by the concern Chief Engineers like these are sent in valley for early redressal.
Other demands highlighted during the protest included Release of wages, Insurance Policy to workers and etc. |
