Kishtwar, May 28: Security forces today in a joint operation busted two militant hideouts in Gandoh of mountainous district Doda and effected big haul of arms and ammunition including 30 Kg RDX material from these hideouts busted in two separate incidents.
As per the details available with 'Early Times', acting on a tip off the joint team of Special Operation Group (SOG) and 26 RR launched a massive search operation in the area at around 0820 hrs today morning at Naglotan of Gandoh and busted the hideout.'
The security forces effected recoveries including one AK 56, 10 AK magazines, 555 AK rounds, one SLR weapon, Three SLR magazines, one Chinese Pistol with magazine, two Country made rifles, Two radio sets.
Meanwhile another hideout was busted in the afternoon at around 2.55 pm and security forces effected recoveries including two Desi Katta, Three wireless sets I com, 4 Chinese Grenades, 20 UBGL Shells, Radio set 1, Walki Talkie 2, Walk man 1, 30 Kg RDX material, IED Material 1 Kg, IED detonator 175, Binocular 1, solar plate 1 and one battery charger.
Security forces said that they have averted a tragedy as the recovered arms and ammunition has the tendency to cause wide spread destruction in case falls in the hands of anti national elements. |
