Jammu, May 28: Female Multipurpose Health Workers (FMPHW) today reprimanded state government for not being paid their salary of last eight months. In memorandum presented to Director Health Service Jammu, the president Jammu Kashmir Employees Federation (JKEF) Jammu, S Dharmvir Singh Bhargav on behalf of FMPHW demanded timely disbursement of pending salary. "The FMPHW of Jammu province working under a/c 2211 has not been paid their salaries for last eight months, which has made their plight worse. The problem is persistent for several years, no permanent solution for it has been found till date and the FMPHW continue to suffer", Dharmvir said in the memorandum. He further said that the matter may please be sorted out and taken up with appropriate authorities to ensure regular disbursement of salaries to them henceforth. "The FMPHWs were appointed after successful completion of MPHGW training of one and half year duration and are offered pay scale of Rs 3050-4500 (pre-revised) whereas the basic health workers, who complete 30 days MPHW training are placed in pay scale of Rs 4000-6000 in lieu of it", the memorandum read, adding that it was a great injustice and gender based discrimination with them. The federations has given 15 days times to authorities and also threaten if their demands are not met, they would intensify the mass agitation. |
