| AJKPC to launch Modi type 'change wave' in JK | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, June 2 : Threatening to launch a BJP led Prime Minister, Narendra Modi type 'wave of change' in Jammu and Kashmir against coalition government during upcoming assembly elections, all Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat conference (AJPKPC) today alleged that coalition government played foul with village heads during their tenure merely for their personal gains. In a meeting convened here today, members of AJKPC said that both the coalition partners NC and Congress over the years while remaining stagnant over issues related to village heads filled their pockets in the name of conducting Panchayat elections. They also accused the coalition partners of betraying around 3000 village heads of Jammu and Kashmir in the name of amendments in constitution, development for common masses, powers to village heads, security cover wherever necessary and insurance etc. "We did everything on our own to get what our constitution has guaranteed us but failed. Today I announce that we will launch a Modi type change wave in Jammu and Kashmir too and teach NC and Congress a lesson," said Vice President AJPKC, Abdul Majeed. He said that like rest of the country in recently conducted parliamentary Jammu and Kashmir also witnessed a wave of change, similarly during upcoming assembly elections a wave of change will sweep the camps of both NC and Congress from across the state. He also said that in order to show supremacy over each other on issues related to village heads over the years, coalition partners could only maintain status quo and superiority complex and in between their pre-planned mockery, both marred the genuine demands of village heads after portraying them as elected representatives among common masses merely for their personal gains. According to Chief Spokesperson of AJKPC, Ghulam Hussain Nqashbandi, 'despite recommendations from Governor N.N Vohra to solve the genuine demands of village heads, this coalition government could do nothing for village heads, instead gave birth to worries for them by portraying them as puppets in the society. "Once Soz Sahab had agreed to discuss over issues in assembly in detail and do whatever is possible, but some members of Congress and NC did not agreed to his terms and the matter was thrown in dustbin," he said. Through EARLY TIMES, members of AJKPC urged Prime Minister, Narendra Modi led Bhartiya Janata Party government at centre to intervene and solve the long pending demands of village heads of Jammu and Kashmir, otherwise AKPC would have no option except to launch door to door election boycott campaigning against the political parties of Jammu and Kashmir during upcoming assembly elections. |
