| AJKDEA stages protest against manhandling of JE | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, June 2: All J&K Diploma Engineers Association (AJKDEA) Jammu held a protest demonstration at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park here today against the Sarpanch of Panchayat Mahanpur village Nowshera for manhandling a Junior Engineer (JE) of PHE Department.
While demanding a rigorous action against Sarpanch Surjit Singh of Panchayat Mahanpur village Nowshera, the engineers turned protestors warned the Police administration and District administration if justice is not provided to the victim JE, Sanjeev Sharma, they will come out on streets.
Association expressed its deep displeasure and anguish on manhandling case of on duty JE working in PHE Sub Division Basohali of PHE Division Kathua.
The association alleged that JE was called on telephone by the Sarpanch to address the problem related to drinking water supply. On reaching the site, the Sarpanch tried to snatch the mobile of JE but when he tried to resist, the Sarpanch slapped JE and also snatched the keys of his car in full public view. |
