| Govt Primary School found locked | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, June 2: Following complaint of the villagers of Ladar Kot in Pancheri block in Udhampur about locked government school, the Development Commissioner Udhampur Mrs Yasha Mudgal directed concerned to probe the matter and a team from Chief Education Officer (CEO) Udhampur today paid surprise visit at Govt Primary School Ladar Kot which was found locked.
According to official sources, a team under the supervision of Balbir Singh, Chief Education Officer (CEO) Udhampur, Pawan Slathia Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) and others visited the spot to take stock of ground situation and found Govt Primary School Ladar Kot locked.
ZEO Pancheri said that two ReT female teacher I/C this school Smt Santosh and Sanjogita remained absent without any intimation my office. He said that the school was reopened today with appointment of new posting of a teacher Kunj Lal while the two absentees have been asked to explain their position. Here it needs to mention that locals from ladar kot have lodged their complaint with Deputy Commissioner Udhampur alleging that Govt Primary School Ladar Kot even after winter break on 28 February yet has not been functional for the last three months.
Taking cognizance DC Udhampur Mrs Mudgal has ordered a probe and asked Chief Education Officer (CEO) Udhampur, to see the matter and take appropriate action against erring concerned teachers. |
