| SPO booked by Kishtwar police for opening fire on women | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, June 2 : An ex-serviceman turned Special Police Officer (SPO) identified by the police sources as Om Prakash, Incharge Police Post Poochal was booked by the Kishtwar police after he forcefully tried to barge into the rented accommodation of two women putting up at Astan Pai ward No. 1 of Municipal Committee Kishtwar and allegedly opened two bullet shots at them with his service riffle. As per the details available, the accused police officer after forcefully entering inside the rented accommodation of the two women living there had some verbal duel with the accused cop who lost his cool and opened fire with his service riffle.
After committing the crime, the women created hue and cry as a result of which the neighbors and the owner of the house rushed to the rescue of the women and forcing the accused to flee from the spot. Later the matter was brought into the notice of senior police officers who rush to the spot and recovered two bullet cartages from the spot. Police registered FIR No. 90/2014 U/S458/307/504/506 RPC, 3/25 Arms Act and arrested the erring cop. Police also seized weapon of offence. |
