| PHE ITI trained, CP workers union hold protest | | | Early Times Report
Jammu/ Kathua, June 2: Jammu and Kashmir PHE ITI Trained and CP Workers Union held protest cum Kaam Choro Hartaal here today in front of Press Club. A large number of the PHE employees led by its president Tanvee Husain assembled outside Press Club and raised slogans against concerned department . Addressing protestors, Tanveer Hussain asked the State government to formulate policy for their regularization at the earliest. He said that the state government had engaged the ITI Trained Casual Labour as per Vide Govt. Cabinet Decision No. 116/4 Dated11-05-2006 but CP Workers and need base workers who are working for the last 15-20 years but till date Government has failed to frame a policy for their regularization.
He said that the employees who have completed the required formalities in all respects should be regularized immediately. He alleged that every times we approached the concerned authorities for the redressal of the demands, only empty promises were made with us as till date nothing has been done in this regard. Among those who participated in the protest included Subash Chander, Deepak Gupta, Munish Abrol, Ripan Singh, Manjeet Singh, Chandan Singh, Sumit and Dushyant Sudan. Meanwhile demanding a comprehensive regularization policy for all I.T.I, CP & other workers who are working in the Department, for the last 6-15 years, All J&K PHE I.T.I Trained & C.P Worker Union held a massive protest demonstration in front of PHE XEN Mechanical Division's office at Kathua here today and warned the state Government to face the indefinite strike if failed to resolve the demands. While leading the protest, the ITI Diploma holders semi employees, Manohar, Balram, Ajay, Sanjay and Sham Lal urged the Omar's led state government to address our long pending genuine demands such regularization of all the ITI workers, CP workers and other workers on the pattern of R-E-T and release the pending salaries of all CP workers. |
