| Politically sunk, Rana sings Kabir's praises | | “He was epitome of righteousness” | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 13: Strange are the ways of politicians. Most of the times they preach what they do not believe in. NC provincial president for Jammu talked about Sant Kabir saying he was epitome of righteousness. Well the commoner has never contested Kabir's greatness. It is the politicians who pollute the religious places for petty politics. The NC has the dubious distinction of using religious places for misleading the people. The NC leadership would take every Tom, Dick and Harry to Chrar-e-Sharief shrine for what Kashmiris call Dastarbandi. Rana has not done anything different by talking about Sant Kabir. People know what motives he has to fulfill. He must have some political motives to fulfill by invoking Sant Kabir. The following verse has a lesson for all especially for the politicians. He is neither in the temple nor in the mosque He is in your heart, search Him there If you are a true seeker, you will definitely find Him In this verse, Kabir teaches the lesson of humanity. For him nobody was a Hindu and nobody was a Muslim. The modern day politicians need to learn this lesson. Salvation can be achieved by releasing pension in favour of a widow, by giving employment to a youth who has to look after aged parents. It can also be achieved by improving healthcare, by imparting education to the poor, by offering solace to the people. This is what Kabir teaches. Is Rana and his NC ready for it?
