| Police cracks four thefts, four held with stolen items worth Rs 1,86,500 | | | Early Times Report
Samba, June 13: Samba police today busted a gang of burglars who were involved in several cases including thefts in Samba and adjoining areas with the arrest of four persons besides effecting recovery of three motor cycles, one LCD and Rs 9500/- cash from their possession. Police spokesperson said, "A special Police Team was constituted by Superintendent of Police (SP) Samba Anil Magotra under the supervision of Inspector Ravinder Singh, SHO P/S Samba to probe the complaints of thefts in Samba and its adjoining areas.' "During the investigation police team today apprehended four accused persons identified namely as Akshay Kumar s/o Beli Ram Bhagat of Bishnah, Sunil Kumar s/o Rakesh Kumar of Ludhiana, Vipan Kumar s/o Bua Ditta Bhagat of Bishnah and Sahil Kumar s/o Ashok Kumar of W-6 Samba, police spokesperson said adding, "the accused during sustained questioning confessed their involvement in theft cases registered under FIR No: 14/2012 u/s 379 RPC P/S Samba, FIR No. 57/2014 u/s 379 RPC P/S Samba, FIR No. 60/2014 u/s 379 RPC P/S Samba and FIR No. 96/2014 u/s 457/380 RPC P/S Samba.' Police said, "On their disclosures police team has recovered stolen property worth 186,500/- i.e. 03 Motor Cycles bearing Regd Nos JK08B-6711, JK02AE-2126 and JK02AC-3044, one LCD and Rs 9500/- Cash." After registering a case in this regard the police have stated further investigation into the matter and added involvement of these accused persons in other cases cannot be ruled out. |
