| PDP kick starts poll campaign, seeks support for corruption free system | | | Early Times Report
R S Pura, June 13: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) formally kicked start election campaign for the coming Assembly elections by organising meeting of the card holders of party at border town of RS Pura. General Secretary of the party and MLC Yash Pal Sharma was present in this meeting as chief guest while other senior leaders of the party also marked their presence on this occasion in R S Pura Assembly segment. While addressing the meeting, the chief guest Yash Pal Sharma, coined new slogan "Ab Ke Baar Mufti Sarkar" and sought support of people to get the people rid of present corrupt dispensation. He assured the people that PDP would formulate a comprehensive plan for the development and uplfitment of the backward and border areas. Seeking support of the people in general and youth in particular to throw out the present inept and corrupt system to bring positive change in the life of the commoners, Sharma termed National Conference-Congress coalition as worst ever corrupt government in the State. Alleging neglect of rural areas during present regime, he said and reminded the people that during PDP led regime residents of border areas were given special attention in the field of development. He observed that the credibility of the present regime has reached at its lowest ebb because this dispensation has lost faith of the common masses due to misdeeds and rampant corruption. Former MP (Rajya Sabha) Trilok Singh Bajwa, former Minister Sardar Rangil Singh, Bhushan Dogra, Kuldeep Sharma, Chatter Saini, Capt Anil Gour and others also spoke on the occasion. |
