| PDP Mahila Wing stages protest against PHE, PDD | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 13: Irked over erratic power and water supply in the Jammu city, Mahila Wing of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) today staged protest against PDD and PHE department outside Press Club.PDP workers led by Geeta Thakur District Coordinator PDP today raised slogans against the PDD and PHE departments for their apathy towards the people of the Jammu who are facing huge difficulty in this hot summer season. She alleged that present government has totally failed to provide proper and regular electricity and water supply as a result the people of Jammu are suffering hardships that too in peak summer days when the temperature is rising high and is seems to reaching new marks each passing day. She said that numbers of protest demonstrations are being held these days in Jammu at various places but government except excuses and fake promises has done nothing to mitigate the problems. She also accused the PDD department for generating inflated electricity bills despite the long electricity cuts. Among others who were present on the occasion included RN Gupta, Madan Gandotra and Radha Kapahi. |
