Jammu, June 18: After having clean chit from the Vigilance department, a Sub Inspector has been promoted to next rank by the PHQ in its order number 1614 of 2014.As per order, " sanction is hereby accorded to the grant of promotion In Situ to SI Rajeshwar Singh in the first higher standard pay scale of Rs 9300-34800 plus grade pay of Rs 4260 with effect from 1.07.2009".
He got promotion after a long gap after Director Vigilance vide his office letter No SVO -FIR-10.2009J-1251, communicated that the investigation of the criminal case pending against the SI was closed as 'Not Proved' and accordingly consigned to records after acceptance of the closer report by the High Court. However, a departmental enquiry was recommended to be conducted against the said officer.
