jammu, June 18:The Vigilance Organization Kashmir (VOK) has booked one revenue official Patwari Halqa Asnoor, D H Pora while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.20,000/- from the complainant as illegal gratification for mutation of ancestral land. A case FIR No.24/2014 u/s 5(2) J&K P.C. Act 161 RPC was registered and successful trap was laid by Vigilance sleuths. As per the case, a special surveillance squad of Vigilance Organisation Kashmir (VOK) following a written complaint from one Gulzar Ahmad Dar with Vigilance Organisation Kashmir therein alleging said Revenue official has demanded Rs.20,000/- for mutation of ancestral land measuring 17 marlas. Taking cognizance a trap led by Manzoor Ahmad, Dy.SP and assisted by Inspectors of VOK was laid under the direct supervision of M S Punnoo, SSP VOK and it caught Nisar Ahmad Ahangar Patwari Halqa Asnoor, D H Pora red handed one while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs20,000/- from the complainant as illegal gratification. The accused was caught red handed and lodged in P/S Vigilance Organisation Kashmir. A case against FIR No.24/2014 u/s 5(2) J&K P.C. Act 161 RPC was registered and further investigation into the matter is in progress. |
