CHANDIGARH, June 18: In a befitting tribute to the gallantry services rendered by war heroes, Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal will dedicate the under-construction Punjab War Heroes Memorial and Museum to the nation next year.
Stressing the need to perpetuate the legacy of sacrifices made by soldiers of the state, Badal, at a meeting to review the ongoing construction work on the memorial cum museum coming up over an area of 7 acres on Amritsar-Attari road, told officials to ensure it was completed by Aug 15, 2015.
He hoped that it would inspire youngsters to serve the nation, displaying the ethos of Punjabi's valour and patriotism, and said this memorial would be a befitting tribute to commemorate the contribution made by Punjabi soldiers during wars for the nation.
Badal further said that there was no dearth of funds for this ambitious project coming up at a cost of Rs 100 crore.
