| MJR47 hails Union Home Minister's statement | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 12: MJR-47 (Movement for justice for refugees of 1947) hailed the statement of Union Home Minister Raj Nath Singh requesting the House to adopt a unanimous resolution not to rest till they ensure return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Migrants. In which the Home Minister had stated that such issue needs to be handled as humane problem and no one should be refugee within his own country. "Our organization, highly resents the statement of Union Govt. of dubious policy on such sensitive and humane issues. The Government is so generous in case of valley migrants that they are never tired of sanctioning one package after another giving all facilities from cash doles, employment packages, reservations in institution for their wards, exemption in income tax, special medical allowances and many others including return policy to valley", the spokesman said, adding that they were quite silent about refugees of Pok, of 1947 who were facing utter neglect and discrimination even after giving supreme sacrifices in 1947 and for their sufferings for the last more than 67 years. Is it not discrimination if it is why Govt. feels shy of solving the problem of other refugees? We find NDA Govt. no way different to UPA in tackling this most sensitive humane issue. Present NDA Govt. of India never felt shy of keeping Rs. 500 crore in the annual budgets for the return of valley migrants without waiting for even a detailed report from the State Govt. which now stands submitted with revised estimated cost of Rs. 5820 crore but kept nothing for other12.5 lacs, refugees from POJK of 1947, 65 and 71 who are waiting for relief and rehabilitation for the last 67 years and still living in the same refugees camps since 1950. |
