JAMMU, Aug 12: Despite the clear orders of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah who is also Pro-Chancellor to Jammu University directing University to ensure one officer on one post, more than half a dozen officers have still been assigned multiple posts, while many have been ignored despite their seniority and capability.
Sources informed that in utter disregard to the directive of the pro chancellor, more than half a dozen officers in Jammu University have been enjoying multiple posts on the behest of university administration.
The list includes Dr. Manoj Kumar Dhar, who has been holding three posts including Director of School of Biotechnology, Registrar of JU and Advisor Health center of Jammu University. Professor GM Bhat is also holding two posts, including Rector of Bhaderwah Campus and Director of Wadia Museum of Natural History in Jammu University. "It is astoundingly that one person holds two posts at two different places separated by a distance of 220 kilometers," said a university officer while expressing his anguish.
Besides, Dr. Diponkar Sen Gupta is also holding two posts, one of HoD Economic department and the other of OSD to controller of non professional examination of Jammu University. Professor Keshav Sharma is also holding posts of Chief CET Coordinator and Controller Examination Campus. Dr. Dawood Iqbal Baba is also holding two crucial posts, that of coordinator of all campus and Director Reasi Campus. Professor Rajni Kant is holding posts of Rector of Ramnagar Campus and coordinator of National Eligibility Test of Jammu University. Dr Avtar Singh Jasrotia is also holding two posts, sources said, adding that Dr Jasrotia who is Professor at Department of Geology has also been holding the post of HoD/ Professor at Department of Remote Sensing University of Jammu. |
