Jammu, Aug 12 (JNF): Special Excise Mobile Magistrate Jammu Amarjeet Singh Langeh today awarded one year rigorous imprisonment and fine of Rs 2000 to Harjeet Singh a Truck Driver who was facing trial for the last 10 years in case causing death of person by accident. According to the police case, on February 5, 2004 an information was received by the P/S Domana that a Truck driven by Harjeet Singh in a rash and negligent manner hit a scooted driven by one Tarseem Lal who w succumbed to his injuries.
After hearing Senior Prosecuting Officer, Jatinder Anand, Special Excise Mobile Magistrate Jammu Amarjeet Singh Langeh observed that the road accidents have become a common occurrence with rash and negligently driving being the prime causes for this havoc. With these observations one year RI and fine Rs 2000/- was pronounced. |
