Jammu, Aug 12: Model Academy organized investiture ceremony for the year 2014-2015 to bestow the deserving students of the senior wing with responsibility of leading the school from front.
According to press release, the event was graced by Dr. Adit Gupta, Joint Director MIER and Rupa Gupta, Management Representative. They were accompanied by the Principal, Dr. Chitra Mishra, Vice-Principal, Usha Gadoo, Convener sports, Usha Chuni and Manju Vali, Convener Co-curricular committee. The ceremony started with the singing of school song by the choir group of the school.
This year's council comprises of Vasu Aggarwal (Head Boy), Sheen Kachroo (Head Girl), Abhishek and Apurva Gupta, the Vice Head Boy and Head Girl along with House Presidents and Vice Presidents and teacher Incharges of all the four Houses.
The members took an oath and were honoured with sashes and badges by the Joint Director and the Management Representative. The newly elected council members pledged to work earnestly for the betterment of the school and keep the school Motto of being "Shresta" i.e. "Excellence in Education" in high esteem. The Joint Director in his speech congratulated the council members and advised them to take up their duties sincerely and with full commitment. He inspired and encouraged them to excel in their future endeavours.
The Management Representative, Principal and the Vice-Principal also congratulated the members and advised them to be role models for other students and work with passion. The ceremony concluded with National Anthem. The Programme was compered by Ms.AaryaBargotra and vote of thanks was presented by Pankaj Bhagat. |
