| Sarpanches submits memorandum to DC | | Creation of Tehsil, CD block demanded | | | Doda, Aug 12: Demanding since long creation of new Tehsil, CD Block with its head-quarter at some central places falling in between Sunarthawa and Thathri the local Sarpances submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner Dodam, Tuesday.In the memorandum, the Sarpances apprised the DC that the public of 11 Panchyats of 6 Patwar Halqa's had submitted their demand before each committee constituted for creation of new administrative units before Dy. Chief Minister, Chairman, sub-committee, before concerned MLAs and MLCs, Divisional commissioner, Jammu, Dy. Commissioner Doda and Tehsildar Thathri on due dates, as and when asked, but in-spite of efforts their demand were not met. "Three new Tehsils/ CD Blocks have recently been created out of erstwhile Tehsil Thathri, District Doda, included Kahara, 10-12 kms away from Thathri, Figsoo only 5-6 kms away from thathri and Chirallah H/Q Sewa 52 kms away from Thathri, neglecting 25-30 kms long stretch of eleven Halqa panchyats as mentioned above", the memorandum read, adding that the plight of the neglected area was worthwhile to mention that two Panchyats namely Kandote and Sharote have been linked with Tehsil Figsoo. |
