| Kishtwar, Aug 12: Senior Congress Leader and Member Kissan Board Kishtwar Shamsher Singh Bhandari, has expressed his gratitude to the Union Minister for Roads and Transport, Nitin Gadkari for devolving upon the maintenance and operation of three National Highways of J&K State in the hands of PWD (R&B) Department of J&K State for which funding of maintenance and operations shall be borne by the Central Government. As per press release, Bhandari has thanked the Union Minister to hand over National Highways including Kargil to Zanskar, Batote to Kishtwar and Domail to Katra under the control of State government. He further told that by the dint of taking this noble step could lead to the strategic development to the Border areas as well as the remotest parts of the State connected by these National Highways. Those who spoke on the occasion included Tilak Raj Shan and Farooq Ahmed Tapal. |
