Jammu, Aug 12: Civil Safaikarmchari Union, Jammu Municipal Corporation today said that it has suspended its proposed stir over the future of casual workers who were facing threat of disbanding. In a media interaction held here today President of Association Rinku Gill who had taken serious note of statement from Commissioner, JMC in which he had said that after engaging 600 SKCs on casual basis the rest NGO workers would be disbanded and took the matter to concerned quarters for redressal of issue. Rinku Gill said that their demands including engaging 1245 NGO Workers including those who are working in different wards of JMC be converted on casual basis, due installment of 6th Pay Commission tobe released shortly, placement and adjustment of senior safaikaram charies / Mashkies as I/c Sanitary Supervisors, and etc. He said a positiove response has been received from concerned quarters after a meeting was called by the Concerned Minister, Urban Development and Urban Local Bodies wherein Secretary, H&UDD, Commissioner, JMC, President Rinku Gill, Rohit George President Clerical union JKPDTU President, Suresh Sharma, Chairman, Ram Chand, Vice-Chairman Sanju Burat, Senior Advisor, Jarnail Khokhar, and other Union Members participated and thus proposed strike was suspended.. |
