| 4 year on, BSNL authorities fails to provide connectivity to Warwan tower; Subscribers suffer | | | Asif Iqbal Naik Kishtwar, Aug 18: BSNL subscribers of remote Warwan tehsil in Kishtwar have been deprived of services as the Nigam has failed to provide connectivity to the tower erected four years back. People in Marwah informed " Early Times" that despite availability of all equipments at Marwah, the BSNL authorities failed to erect towers at Nawapachi Marwah and also at Sounder Dachhan since last four years. The locals said that despite repeated request to the administration and government, they failed to push BSNL authorities to complete the work with regard to erection of BSNL tower so that the area which is deprived off from road and electricity since independence could at least get communication connectivity. " People of Marwah and Warwan face a lot of problems and lack of mobile network is one of them" said 25 year old Muneeb Hussain Sheikh. He said that all the equipment required for erection of BSNL tower are dumped at Nawapachi since last four years and added that in case of any emergency, people had to travel to Nawapachi for sending a message to administration for airlifting of critical patients. Our request to the administration is to speed up the work so that people of the area get benefit of communication" added Muneeb. "Communication is an important tool in present era… we want this facility at the earliest so that we get connected with the outer world" said another villager Mohammad Iqbal. He urged upon the government to fix the responsibility on BSNL authorities so that the long pending demand of this remote area of the state in the form of mobile connectivity becomes a reality. |
