| Industrial workers stage protest at Samba | | | Early Times Report
SAMBA, Aug 18: Hundreds of Bharat Box Factory workers, under the aegis of State Centre Labor Union staged protest at main chowk of Samba and blocked Jammu Pathankot National Highway here today. The factory workers gathered at Industrial area and took out procession towards National Highway at main Chowk of Samba and blocked national highway Samba about half an hour he alleged exploitation of labour laws by Bharat Box factory (BBF), Samba.
Workers coerced the Government to issue the directives to the management of Bharat Box Factory (BBF) to pay the pending wages and life time compensation to workers at the earliest as their families are unable to meet their both hands.
"Factory management has suspended work from last six months and workers comprising men and women have not paid for last four months. Workers are force to leave the factory and the labor department had failed to take strict action against the erring factory owner.
Workers appealed the state government to intervene into the matter failing which they will force to launch massive agitation in support of their demands. |
