Jammu, Aug 18: Saying that National Conference, Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party were destined to get decimated in the ensuing assembly elections, Peoples Democratic Party candidate from Gandhi Nagar assembly segment Amrik Singh Reen on Monday exuded confidence about his party registering a big win and forming government on its own comfortably. "People have understood the significance of a stable government, especially in a state like Jammu and Kashmir which is confronted with problems of varied nature", Reen said while welcoming prominent businessmen and social workers in PDP fold. Reen said that there was no alternative to PDP as the party has strived for ensuring peace and undertaking development during most testing times. He described PDP as a public movement, which, he said, believes in single entity of the State and has been striving for assuaging the politico-developmental aspirations of all segments of people. He referred to the historic role of PDP in generating political awakening. |
