| Mangat Ram demands effective steps for rehabilitation process | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, Oct 2:Lambasting the state as well union government over their callous attitude, the Former Deputy Chief Minister Mangat Ram Sharma alleged that pick and choose policy is being adopted in executing relief and rescue operations in flood affected areas Addressing media persons at Kathua on Wednesday, Sharma categorically clear that both the Governments should keep in mind that J&K is an integral part of rest of the India and the distribution of relief shouldn't be biased state. The relief and rehabilitation of the uprooted people who are brutally trapped in worst ever flood in state should be taken on priority. While pointing out the failure of both the governments in ensuring adequate relief at the door steps of real flood victims, Sharma said steps taken so far are not sufficient and not even effective adding that whatever little has been done is all bogus and rootless as the victims are still in worst condition. |
