POONCH, Oct 2: Following inputs about the movement of three to four militants in Bhatakhas forests of Thera Topa here, security forces have launched massive searches to track them down.
Acting on a tip-off about the movement of three to four armed militants in Bhatakhas forests, 37 Rashtriya Rifles, police and special operation group (SOG) laid a cordon around the area last night, official sources said.
Searches, which started this morning, continued till late in the evening but the forces could not get any clue to the whereabouts of the militants. While the search operation was called off, a tight vigil was being maintained in the area, the sources added.
Some locals were also questioned but there was no report of any suspect having been taken into custody by the forces, sources said. |
