| BSF operator bleeds to death | | | M S Nazki
POONCH, Oct 2: A BSF Headconstable bled to death after he got trapped in the rolls of concertina wire near the Line of Control (LoC) in Mandi sub-sector of Poonch during Wednesday night.
Official sources said BSF HC and operator Balbir Singh was working on the border fencing in a forward Mandi area when he slipped and fell into the sharp concertina wire. By the time, other BSF personnel rescued him and shifted him to hospital, he had suffered a huge loss of blood, the sources added. He later died. He was posted in 145 Bn of BSF at Post No 3 and had been working as an operator. After post-mortem, his body was sent home for last rites.
This is the first such reported incident on the LoC. |
